Global Expansion Support
4 Pillars
4 Pillars of Global Expansion
Market Research & Local Study
Know the market before you move. The biggest risk in global expansion is a lack of information. Entering a market without understanding it often means wasted investment or a forced early withdrawal. Children Japan starts every challenge with knowledge first.
What matters to us isn’t simply gathering statistics. We go on the ground, meet people, observe consumer behavior, and listen to real voices. Only by combining desk research with the feel of the field does research become truly meaningful.
In South America and Brazil in particular, our local network connects us directly with government, trading companies, and the food-service and retail communities, giving us first-hand information you can’t get from a desk. Research doesn’t end with a report handed over — we design the next action together with you.
We gauge local income levels, consumer behavior, and trends — and test on the ground how reception differs between urban and rural areas.
We examine quarantine, approval, and labeling requirements for food and product exports, surfacing risks before you commit.
We study the price range, sales channels, and positioning of local competitors and similar products, laying the groundwork for a differentiation strategy.
We check the reputation, track record, and financial standing of prospective local buyers, trading companies, and agents to help you choose partners you can trust.
Exhibition & Sales Channel Support
Build a sales system that actually works.Trade shows and product exhibitions are the entry point to global expansion, but exhibiting is not the goal in itself. What matters is building a system that actually sells locally. Children Japan supports you end to end, from strategy design to booth arrangement to post-meeting follow-up — not just booth logistics.
Defining target customers, setting exhibition goals, adapting materials for the local market
Arranging interpreters, tastings, and hands-on promotions; supporting booth setup
Joining buyer meetings in person, bridging negotiations across culture and language
Ongoing sales support after the deal, promotion rollout, and tracking sales performance
Exporting fresh produce requires strict quarantine and approval, and many companies had given up on entering the market for this reason. We supported coordination with local government and quarantine authorities, and designed the logistics flow.
→ The product was adopted by major supermarkets and restaurants, opening the door to an export category once considered “extremely difficult.”
The store opening had stalled due to local regulations and gaps in logistics and financial infrastructure. We supported setting up a local entity, arranging bank accounts and logistics, and adapting the store concept.
→ Profitable in its first year, supported by both Japanese and local customers, leading to a second location.
Using a subsidy, we ran a small-lot test export and local research to verify which market best fit the company’s product.
→ Achieved initial sales results, establishing a path to larger-scale exports and exhibition participation the following year.
Store & Company Setup Support
Build your base overseas with confidence. When global expansion moves into full gear, many business owners run into the wall of opening a store or setting up a company. Beyond language and cultural differences, there is a complexity around law, accounting, tax, and employment that’s hard to imagine from Japan. Children Japan removes that wall so you can build your own base overseas with confidence.
What Sets Our Store Support Apart
We focus not just on arranging a store opening, but on building a system that keeps generating profit locally over time.
- Property selection & contract negotiation
- Store design & menu localization
- Staff hiring & training
- Customer acquisition & promotion planning
- Accounting, labor, and legal support
Company Setup Support
Leveraging our network of local accountants, lawyers, and government contacts, we provide total support — handling incorporation procedures, setting up tax and accounting foundations, and building employment contracts and labor management systems — so you can launch your overseas entity while staying focused on your core business.
Network & Subsidy Access
Leverage connections and public funding.Global expansion doesn’t succeed on your own strength alone. It takes trustworthy local partners and the know-how to use public programs correctly. Children Japan combines its network with expertise in subsidies and public schemes to accelerate your challenge.
Local Network Support
We introduce trustworthy local partners — supermarket and retail buyers, restaurant owners, trading companies, accountants, and lawyers — and join meetings in person to bridge negotiations across culture and language. Human connections are what decide the success of global expansion.

Kaohsiung City Government Economic Development Bureau
Japan/Kyushu Study Tour & Brand Matching Meetings
Kaohsiung City Government Economic Development Bureau — Japan · Kyushu Business Matching
As part of a “Japan/Kyushu study tour and investment promotion program by Kaohsiung City commercial brands,” hosted by the Kaohsiung City Government Economic Development Bureau (Taiwan), we organized and supported a brand-matching business meeting.
At the meeting, participating Kaohsiung companies and Japanese firms exchanged views on brand management, product development, store operations, sales channel development, and potential market expansion.
Kaohsiung offers an attractive commercial district, consumer market, and international transport infrastructure, and has recently been focused on supporting local companies’ overseas expansion. This exchange was an opportunity to explore the potential for brand collaboration between Japan and Taiwan.
We will continue supporting collaboration between Japanese companies, municipalities, and overseas public institutions, helping to create new business opportunities in overseas markets.

Trade & Sales Channel Development
Building a sales channel overseas takes more than a yes/no on exporting — it requires designing around local needs, price expectations, distribution terms, and building relationships with the right counterparts. Through export support, test exports, deal design, channel development, and promotion support, we support the practical work of connecting Japan with overseas markets.
We start small, test the local response, and build step by step toward a form that leads to ongoing trade — aiming to grow it into a long-term channel rather than a one-off transaction.
Human Development & Training
Moving a business forward takes more than a concept or a system — it takes the growth of the people behind it. We support the development of globally capable, operational, and leadership talent, along with hands-on training programs.
Beyond providing knowledge, we deliver development and training in a practical, hands-on way that builds the judgment, adaptability, and execution skills needed in the field — developing people who can actually operate in a fast-changing global environment.
Building cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and local adaptation skills on a practical basis.
Strengthening practical skills — export, customs, logistics, contracts — so people can perform from day one.
Practically building decisiveness, strategic thinking, and team management.
Designing and running hands-on training tied to real-world challenges, not just classroom lectures.
