4 Pillars of Global Expansion

Pillar 01 — Market Research

Market Research & Local Study

Know the market before you move.

The biggest risk in global expansion is a lack of information. Entering a market without understanding it often means wasted investment or a forced early withdrawal. Children Japan starts every challenge with knowledge first.

What matters to us isn’t simply gathering statistics. We go on the ground, meet people, observe consumer behavior, and listen to real voices. Only by combining desk research with the feel of the field does research become truly meaningful.

In South America and Brazil in particular, our local network connects us directly with government, trading companies, and the food-service and retail communities, giving us first-hand information you can’t get from a desk. Research doesn’t end with a report handed over — we design the next action together with you.

Reliability of Local Partner Candidates

Pillar 02 — Exhibition & Sales

Exhibition & Sales Channel Support

Build a sales system that actually works.

Trade shows and product exhibitions are the entry point to global expansion, but exhibiting is not the goal in itself. What matters is building a system that actually sells locally. Children Japan supports you end to end, from strategy design to booth arrangement to post-meeting follow-up — not just booth logistics.

Brazil
Clearing Quarantine for a Regional Food Manufacturer

Exporting fresh produce requires strict quarantine and approval, and many companies had given up on entering the market for this reason. We supported coordination with local government and quarantine authorities, and designed the logistics flow.

→ The product was adopted by major supermarkets and restaurants, opening the door to an export category once considered “extremely difficult.”

North America
A Restaurant Chain’s Seattle Launch

The store opening had stalled due to local regulations and gaps in logistics and financial infrastructure. We supported setting up a local entity, arranging bank accounts and logistics, and adapting the store concept.

→ Profitable in its first year, supported by both Japanese and local customers, leading to a second location.

Asia
Preparing a Food Manufacturer for Entry into Asia

Using a subsidy, we ran a small-lot test export and local research to verify which market best fit the company’s product.

→ Achieved initial sales results, establishing a path to larger-scale exports and exhibition participation the following year.

Pillar 03 — Store Opening & Establishment

Store & Company Setup Support

Build your base overseas with confidence.

When global expansion moves into full gear, many business owners run into the wall of opening a store or setting up a company. Beyond language and cultural differences, there is a complexity around law, accounting, tax, and employment that’s hard to imagine from Japan. Children Japan removes that wall so you can build your own base overseas with confidence.
